Salumanus specialises in components and systems for data transmission over fibre-optic, wireless and copper networks. Founded in 2002, it now has offices in three Polish cities, with headquarters in Kraków.
In recent years the telecom market built on new technologies has been growing rapidly, and distributors of such products have seen their customer numbers and sales rise year after year. That is why Salumanus decided to find and deploy an IT system to support its logistics processes.

Salumanus needed a system that would let it manage the warehouse more efficiently while reducing the workload of its staff. The industry also required handling unusual product characteristics in storage and shipping: small items, full support for serial numbers and barcodes, and warranty documentation for assembled products. The company also expected support for different dispatch types and reporting at every level.
When tailoring XWMS for Salumanus, our main idea was to build tools that automate reprogramming products for each customer according to their order (product customisation per customer). We also created an extensive reporting system that monitors occupancy not only of the warehouse as a whole, but also of individual racking zones. Reporting covers product records, complete transaction history per product, location and operator, as well as stock rotation. Our platform also supports different dispatch types (picking and consolidation).
The implementation eliminated warehouse errors and significantly automated and accelerated warehouse processes. The rollout went smoothly, and today our system is the backbone of the company’s logistics operations.
