After the successful World Youth Day application, the Archdiocese of Kraków commissioned EX7 with another IT project. This time our task was to build an internal system for surveying Sunday religious practice in parishes across the Archdiocese of Kraków — the so-called dominicantes and communicantes indicators. The system serves 448 parishes and lets them send data in bulk to the head office in Kraków.
The platform collects summary data entered through a user account created for each parish. Its functionality has also been extended to cover special cases that occur in some parishes: for a given parish we can add further churches and sites where attendance is counted. Users can add comments to individual figures and adjust the survey panel to the size of their parish. The whole platform is simple and intuitive to use, and it includes a help and instructions panel for people who don’t use computer systems every day. Data entered and submitted by users is validated to eliminate errors, and users are clearly told what the inconsistency is and where it occurred.
Thanks to good cooperation, the whole project was completed in a short time and went live in October 2017.
