Sklepopon.com is part of ENiS sp. z o.o., a company with over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. Since the early 1990s, ENiS has worked with the largest international tyre manufacturers, and today it partners with many trading companies and wholesalers in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria. ENiS is part of the Point-S group, which brings together more than 1,800 service centres across Europe and sells 11 million tyres a year. To meet its customers’ expectations, ENiS opened its own online shop, www.sklepopon.com, which has been known for top-quality customer service from day one.
In 2015, with e-commerce growing and online sales rising, ENiS needed a new warehouse system — the existing one could not handle such a large number of orders. To streamline its logistics, the management reviewed the IT market looking for new, more automated warehouse management software. ENiS chose us because we were one of the few companies able to customise our software for the tyre industry and deliver a dedicated solution.
One of the project requirements was full implementation within the last three months of 2015, so that XWMS could go live on 1 January 2016. During implementation we also integrated our solution with Soneta’s enova365. Full cooperation between the two systems significantly improved and brought under control the company’s logistics processes, including order handling, consolidation and picking with industrial automation (scales, conveyor belts), and generating shipping labels with full courier integration. Throughout the project our team consulted the possible system solutions on an ongoing basis. Analyses carried out during implementation led to the parallel creation of the XOPO dropshipping platform, which now lets the company serve more customers by delivering products directly from suppliers without storing them first. Importantly, XWMS had to account for the specifics of storing tyres, including their particular attributes: DOT code, construction type, rim diameter, load and speed indices, noise level and country of manufacture. We also built an integration with another courier, KEX.
